Hiking/Sightseeing

Easy to walk trail, beautiful white birch forest and beautiful view of Lake Michigan when you get up to the top. In the winter, our kids like to take sleds up the trail and sled down the walking path on the way back down the trail. Be sure to get a Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park Pass.

Our family discovered this hike in March of 2020 when we were able to enjoy our cabin more than ever because of the COVID-19 shut down. It became our favorite! You can hike Empire Bluffs and continue on after you get to the benches overlooking Lake Michigan or you can park off of Norconk Rd for the actual trail head.
