Fantastic trail less than a 5 minute walk from the Jewel Box. Walk to OHSU on this trail. Trail goes all the way up to Council Crest Park which is a must do with it's gorgeous 360 degree view!

20 years ago the Pearl was an area of old warehouses, now it's uber-hip and chic, and filled with amazing restaurants and shopping. Spend the day poking around, 25 minute walk from the Jewel Box.

Fantastic park within a short walking distance (15 minutes). Epic 360 degree view at one of the highest elevations in the city. Walk up to the park for a great work out.

20 min walk down the hill (1.1 miles). Back in the 70's it was super sketchy, but now it's filled will loads of fun shops and restaurants. Walk from Burnside all the way to NW Thurman.

Forest Park is the biggest city park in the country with miles of trails. Easiest entry is at the end of NW Thurman, 45-60 minute walk from the Jewel Box, but a great one!!

Forget about VooDoo Donuts, they are for the tourists. Blue Star Donuts are where the locals get their goods. It's a 20-30 minute walk from the Jewel Box, and get there early because they sell out.

Mr. Murata has been a sushi master for over 60 years!! Not trendy or fancy inside, but kick-ass sushi! 30 minute walk, or easy parking in the basement and they reimburse your parking costs.

Incredibly French bakery, with bricks for their oven brought in directly from France. Great spot for breakfast or lunch, eat first then walk up to the top of NW Thurman and explore Forest Park.
