Another great local venue. Go late as it doesn't really get busy until after 2300hrs. Live music at weekends.

Sightseeing

Valletta is the capital of Malta. It is small and set out on a grid like system (similar to Manhattan in NYC!). Valletta is small but there is lots to do. Don't miss the noon Gun Salute at Upper Barrakka Gardens, the 1pm Bell at Lower Barrakka Gardens, a cake at Cafe Cordina or a Cocktail at the Hard Rock on the Waterfront. For as little as 5euro, you can take a 30 minute land train around the whole city. This train also has a commentary to follow.

Parks & Nature

These gardens are the gardens of the Presidence Residence here in Malta. Really pretty, peaceful and tranquil. Lots of animals to see, birds and wildlife roam freely. Don't forget the President's Kitchen accross the road, a lovely place to stop for a snack and a drink with a large play area for the children. ALL FREE TOO
