Famous tourist destination, one of the grandest stately homes of the first Elizabethan age, incredible rolling gardens designed by Capability Brown, wooded parks. The house itself is well worth a visit, plus the sculpture garden (entrance fee applies), the Orangery for tea (closed in the winter months), great place for walks. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
