Food Scene

This is a great little Asian restaurant that has beautiful patio seating in summer. We like the Pho and the Chang Mai Noodles, but it's all delicious. Be sure to get the banana wontons for dessert! They don't take reservations, so walk down there and put your name on the board early.

Creative appetizers and really beautiful decor. Right on Town Square in downtown Ketchum. The Lamb Burger is the best!

Parks & Nature

Lots of hiking and biking trails on Bald Mountain, or you can purchase a gondola ride. If you make it to the top of the gondola they will give you a free ride down. Inquire at the desk to see what trails will be good for you. We like the scenic overlook hike... it's 3.2 miles round trip, and takes you up to a platform that overlooks the whole town. Recommend you do this (or any hike) relatively early to avoid the heat! The first part of it is in shade, though, so you should be all right. Make sure to take plenty of water.

Check schedules, but the SVSS puts on free concerts throughout the summer. Take a picnic and enjoy the music on the lawn.

This was built as a joint project by the city and the school district. It's a great place to mess around on an off-road bike. I think the rec will lend you a bike if you don't have one, but I'm not sure about that. This facility is the site of the Idaho State Pump Track Championships every July.
