The food is just good here and it's affordable! It's located on the other side of the park from our place and is situated between another restaurant (Three Monkeys...fine food, higher prices) and a soccer pub (Amsterdam, these folks love their soccer here!) Eat here and get a cocktail at the other places.

The Hill is a neighborhood known for its authentic Italian dining. Zia's, Athonino's, and Favazza are my favorites for atmosphere, food, and price. Gian Tony's can't be beat but also be prepared to pay for the cuisine that shuns all others. Go to Milo's for cheap drinks and bocci ball.

Located in Dogtown, and near the Zoo, this is the Irish inspired neighborhood. This is where you'll get a pint of Guinness & a plate of bangers and mash. Also, they have a really great fried buffalo chicken sandwich.

LGBTQIA friendly neighborhood on a street that has a lot of bars open until 3am. Also great for international cuisine for dinner. Truth is, everyone is welcome everywhere. Just Johns, Attitudes, and Novak's are great clubs. Atomic Cowboy is more laid back until the midnight crowd fills the dance floor and has a great outside patio. Handlebar is a hipstery night club. Lots of fun to be had at any bar here and easy to walk to any that beckon your call.

It's a neighborhood filled with eats, and drinks, and nightclubs, and comedy all within walking distance. Go in the day to enjoy the food and interesting architecture. Go at night to enjoy a wilder time. The younger folks mix with the older folks and all are here to have a good time. Karaoke at Hammerstones, dancing at Molly's open patio, live Irish music at McGurks (that also has a great patio.)

It's a great neighborhood for medium to high end shopping. It's worth visiting for the neighborhood walks to see the big old homes and check out the shops. Off the main strip of CWE I recommend, Scottish Arms (best brunch), West End Dining, The Block (for meat lovers). Drunken Fish for great sushi, and Jen's Ice Cream.
