The village of Cerrillos is five minutes down to road. It is filled with 100 year-old adobo dwellings, a beautiful church and several great places to shop. The petting zoo also has a rock shop. The proprietor mines his own turquoise and his son creates the jewelry. There is a state park right on the edge of town.

Pro tip: follow along the fences, to the left, and enter at the actual gate. That's the best place to begin your climb to view the images.
