Driving through here will get you views of and access to the Lake District that very few people find. Also, a great spot for cycling if you like steep hills.

Food Scene

Stunning Mediterranean food! By far the best place to eat in town. Bookings are usually necessary but their online reviews will show you it's worth it They also do a great lunch.

The Orangery Cafe. Run by volunteers, this little secret cafe is in a great location with views out across Morecambe Bay. Food is reasonably priced and decent for the price point. Great spot on a miserable day because it's an orangery. Closes early, at 2pm.

A satisfying climb because it's short but has great views. Won't take you long to get to the top (30mins?). Moderate difficulty. Once here, follow the road to the strawberry bank and stop off for some food or a drink at the Mason's Arms. Stunning views of the valley, a really quiet spot you won't want to leave.
