Food scene

A favorite for the locals. Home cooking buffet style. Some of the best food in Bardstown in my opinion. My favorite is the stewed tomatoes (only on certain days) and chess pie. Great cornbread, real mashed potatoes, all the meats, fish and chicken are great.

MMMM! Great food. Great little diner. Nice bar area for drinks and music in the evening. Make sure you leave room for homemade pie...Chocolate Meringue, Lemon, Butterscotch, and Coconut Cream. In fact just bring a whole pie home and share with your host! (kidding)

Sightseeing

This building was once a prep school for Catholic boys. In the Civil War it was used as a hospital. Today it is home to the Oscar Getz Whisky Museum. So much great bourbon history. And its worth a visit just to see this super cool building.

The Village part is cool, but the Civil War Museum is one of the best in the country of the the western theater. Great displays. There are 3 museums in one. The general one, the women museum and the Hal Moore museum covering WWI through the Vietnam War. The Civil War museum is one of my favorites.
