Food Scene

Baja Coffee is a summer morning edition to Baja Restaurant. Great coffee, smoothies, acai bowls, cinnamon rolls, breakfast burritos and early cocktails. Try the Watermens blend (my pick) and the cinnamon roll (my daughter). In the evening you get great views, good food, wonderful people and cold drinks. Plus live music and kids are welcome to run around and you can pull up in your boat.

The crew at Surf & Adventure Co. grew up in Sandbridge and will set you up with gear and equipment for your stay at the beach. Get your Sandbridge t-shirt here to remember your trip and go for a self guided kayak paddle from their on site dock. Full disclosure: I work there and will throw out high fives if you mention this.

Arts & Culture

Did you vacation in Va. Beach to go to an art museum? Probably not, but, MOCA is worth the trip. Great art displays and installations every time I have been there.

Everything Else

Please, just go to the beach and relax. Turn off your phone and stare out at the ocean and take in the horizon. After a day of salt air, head to Back Bay and watch the sunset. This is my recipe for a clear head.
