Food & Coffee

Best local coffee! Our family loves this place; it’s quality and charm were one of the factors drew us to the area. They also have a seasonal food menu that is certainly worth checking out.

The riverside view is unparalleled and this is arguably the most popular food and drink spot for bikes, Jeeps, and other tourists that have cruised the Cherohala Skyway. If you’re in town for the steak special or shrimp boil, that’s what you want! Try the spicy pork rinds that are so fresh they still crackle, and we also love the loaded fries.

Hiking & Waterfalls

Conasauga Falls is one of the many local waterfalls that makes for a mild afternoon hike in our beloved Cherokee National Forest. 9 miles from the farm and a fun Jeep ride up into the rugged off-road mountain terrain!

No hiking necessary for this view, but there is a great trail that takes you up into the wilderness area and above the falls.

A well-stocked and friendly fly shop (and coffee right across the street!). That’s how it’s possible to live this far out. Cody will set you up with flies, gear for your trip, and point you to the right spot on the river.

This Amish market is a hidden gem and an absolute must visit for the freshest fruits and vegetables. It’s 5 miles off of 68 tucked into a breathtaking mountain valley. The first time you see it, it’s enchanting.

A little bit of a drive, but if you’ve come to town and forgot critical outdoor gear, this is the place. They carry the high quality outdoor brands you’re probably looking for.
