Food scene

We love this small adorable Cafe Bakery right down the road. Breakfast pastries, cookies, coffee, Ice Cream and so much more. Come in or go through the drive through. Sit and stay awhile, hopefully you will get lucky and hear the live band.

Park and walk across the Dam or walk down the steep trail to enjoy one of the best swimming spots on Canyon lake. The water is cold, clean and clear. You won't be disappointed. If you chose to walk the Dam, try to do it around sunset for the most spectacular views. Don't go too late or they park rangers will lock the gates and you will be stuck.

Shawn Johnson said in June 2023: Family had a blast tubing the River. Get there early. Plenty of parking in the back of the place. The place will hold on to your keys. Bring a water proof bag for the rest. If you forget they do sell them in a few spots conveniently along the path that goes to the river. Once you get your tubes be prepared for a hot 20-60 minute wait along a highway (time depends on business of course) before getting into the river. Once at the river prepare for very chilly water. If you go in a large group don't get tempted to tie all the rafts together. Especially if the river is in a low state or low recreational state. You will get constantly jammed up in the lower rocky parts causing jams. If the river is lower, be prepared to walk in moving water over very rough rocky terrain. Overall it was worth it.
