Sightseeing

These hikes are all around jasper and hinton. Most I have done myself.
Great little hike. Depending on the day you can see beavers, lots of different birds and deer. Can also hike different loops there to make your hike longer or shorter. This is located within a 5 minute drive of the Airbnb.

This hike has some great views. The first 3 kms are steep and the hike is not easy. If you make it to the top and take a picture you get a free beer at folding mountain brewery. If you go into the cabins at the end there is a dirt and grass path you can drive right up to the trail head. You will be kind of parked on the side of the highway. You can also park in the pull out along the highway and walk across the highway. It is located close to the Park gates. About 10-15 minutes outside of hinton.

This is a very busy place in the summer. It is very nice and cool. Six bridges cross back and forth over the canyon. It’s also about 10-15 minutes outside of the town of Jasper.

If you want to just see the falls it is a short 1-2 minute walk. They are pretty amazing. You can also hike to big bend. This is around 15 kms round trip. It is through forest and follows a really old logging road. You will come out at the Athabasca river. Very peaceful and beautiful views at the bend. Was a little smoky when we went.
