Truly amazing if the weather and the moonlight are right. And great to do after the catamaran trip, since you'll be up near Fajardo already. Microorganisms called "dinoflagellates" glow when the water is stirred. You will kayak about 20 minutes through the mangrove trees to Laguna Aguas Prietas. This trip is only worth doing when the moonlight is minimal. Wear a swimsuit, and take towels, a change of clothes, and cash for tipping your quide at the end.

Ranked as one of the top beaches in Puerto Rico. The sand is a cinnamon brown color, unlike any other beach. It's not unusual to have the beach to yourself. Wading only, no swimming due to the undertow.
