In Breckenridge near the ice arena there's a large wooden troll that's pretty neat to see. Short walk in to see him. Made of recycled materials

High Altitude Tips for those from Low Altitudes

1) Drink 2-3x more water than you do at home. The air up here is very dry. For more comfortable sleeping, use the provided humidifier. 2) Drink less alcohol. One drink up here is like two at lower elevations. 3) Use sunscreen on exposed skin year round. We are closer to the sun up here but it’s really the thinner atmosphere that allows the suns rays to burn our skin more quickly. Altitude may cause headaches, slight nausea, and feeling more tired by the end of the day. The extra water should help with this. PSA: Not all ailments are altitude related. When in doubt reach out to a doctor.
Book before you go

Book your adventures in advance

Many things like sleigh rides, dog sledding, tubing, etc book out weeks in advance. Be sure to reserve the activities you'd like to enjoy before your arrive.
Ways to save

Getting around

When to shop for groceries!

During ski season hit the grocery store BEFORE 3pm, by 4pm its a madhouse of people coming off the slopes. In recent years, they've been known to run out of popular items. Ideally, shop once at the beginning of your trip.
