Climb the spiral staircase of the Centennial Tower to reach one the highest peaks in Owen Sound, overlooking the city and harbour from the east. The tower is off of 9th Ave East, south of Superior Street, next to an ice cream shop. If heading north, look for the City of Owen Sound entrance sign on your left. The Centennial Tower is right on the Bruce Trail and connects with both Harrison Park and Inglis Falls, passing stunning stone formations and cliff faces. The tower is open from May to early October, closing after Thanksgiving.

The eye-catching view of Cape Rich (Niagara Escarpment) off-shore is breathtaking, especially with one of the gorgeous sunsets. A small children's playground, small pebble beach, lush gardens, gazebo and numerous park benches, public washrooms and picnic tables here as well. Fred Raper's Park is also the beginning of the Tom Thomson Trail - a non-motorized, multi-use, multi season trail that runs from Meaford to Owen Sound.
