Less than 20 mins walk away, this is a must see. Hire a bike and cycle through the sprawling park with its wooded areas and ponds or visit Dublin Zoo, the 3rd oldest (but very modern) zoo in the world. There are parks within parks here in what is considered to be the largest walled park in Europe. Marvel at the wild deer or relax by the Wellington Obelisk and people watch instead. The Phoenix Park Visitor centre has a lovely cafe too.

A great place to relax where one can walk by the river and watch the rowers set their pace as swans glide by in their pairs. This is a truly unique park hidden away so that one forgets all the noise of a busy life.

A must see for any visitor to Dublin. The home of the famous Black Stuff. No more than a 15 minute walk away, you can smell the hops as you get closer, no visit to Dublin is complete without a stop off here. Find out th history of how Guinness came to be and also how their wonderfully creative adverts hit just the right. And of course there is the promise of a pint in The Gravity Bar with its fantastic views of Dublin to spur you on too.

An old Victorian pub with food to match the setting. Eat in the restaurant upstairs or enjoy a pint and some great food at the bar or even better, in one of the snugs.

These guys are super friendly, Gordon the owner is full of chat. They serve some of there best coffee around on the way onto the city. They are located on James Street right opposite Guinness, St James Gate. There are some outdoor seats if you want a to sit and take in the surroundings while sipping on a coffee, tea or hot chocolate and maybe a small snack.
