Do you love margaritas? Not only does Tacovore have excellent food, but also the best margs in town. Outside and indoor seating, new specials every day. Highly recommend.

We don't eat here much because we're not vegans. However, we're told that the food is excellent - and it's also just a few blocks from our house.

There are a lot of food trucks in the Whit, and this is one of the best. If you love Mexican food, this is a wonderful place to visit.

Hop Valley Brewing is famous in Eugene for having really excellent beer. This location also has excellent "American food" and great outdoor (and indoor) seating.

The Wheel is owned by the same guy who owns Tacovore. Not only is the pizza delicious, Steve has his own small brewery that produces outstanding beer in the most beautiful of cans. Highly recommend. And, full disclosure, Steve is a friend of our family.

This is our very favorite breakfast place in town. It's further than the others - you'd likely want to drive. But the food is outstanding and the ambience is wonderful. Right by the train station. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

One of Eugene's very best restaurants. If you're looking for fine dining and a place you can dress up for a little, this is it. Plus the owner is wonderful and does an enormous amount for our community

Traveler advice

Don't miss

The hiking is great!

On the map you'll see Skinner's Butte Park. Not only does this have a beautiful park with a bike/walking path next to the river, there's also a beautiful rose garden and a nice hike up to the top of the Butte. The other place to hike, especially if you want to work a little, is Spencer's Butte Park. Here you can either stroll by the Willamette River or hike up the Butte and get a magnificent view of the city. Warning: don't leave any valuables in your car.
