I have lived here since 1981 and can share experiences.
Remember out altitude and be sure to carry lots of water and keep hydrated. If you are going for a hike where good shoes to protect from cactus. If you need a good workout at end of day the Cortez Recreation Center has a great pool. Due to Covid check reservation or limits.
