Christiania is a place you have to visit while in CPH. There's really nothing like it anywhere else. Christiania is a self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood of about 850 residents, and very famous for trading cannabis. It also hosts numerous social activities, concerts, etc.

Amager Fælled (in english "Amager Common") is a beautiful national park right next door to our apartment. I don't think there's no other place in Europe with such large open natural surroundings near such a big city. The place has fantastic animal and bird life. This place is great for picnics, just for a walk, or jogging in the morning. Amager Fælled has a history as both a place of executions and for the testing of military weapons, but nowadays you hardly meet anything more controversial than joggers, birdwatchers and families out for a walk.

It also contains 15 restaurants and cafés as well as a CinemaxX cinema with 10 screens. The shopping centre takes its name after Copenhagen's old fish market which was located at the site from 1958 until 1999 when it moved to new premises in the North Harbour.
