Okay. What do you get when you mix oceans, old growth forest, and beaches? Stanley Park. With 10 kms to run or ride, Stanley Park is breath taking.
If you explore the internal trails, it feels like you're in another world altogether.

People swim in the lake over summer, but I would check to see that it’s safe to swim before heading in. Last year there was an algae bloom that restricted swimming.
They also have a Farmer’s Market on the weekend until October in the car park, where you can pick up fresh veggies and fruit.

The sheer size of the trees in the UBC endowment lands is amazing. It's a 30 minute drive from our place, but it almost feels like the air is different.
The trail is clearly marked and you'll run across a variety of runners and dog people. It really is wonderful.
