The beach is huge at low tide and you can always find a private spot - there are some great foodie places here too. About 5-10 mins in the car or you can enjoy a walk along the coastal path from Porth to Watergate. Also a great surfing beach.

Lovely food for a lunchtime break. Outdoor & indoor seating. Set in Trenance Gardens, it’s a beautiful setting . There is also a historic exhibition and sometimes a craft Fayre.

Just a 10 minute walk away - the Zoo is full of great creatures and has a strong conservation policy. Worth a visit and a cuppa in the cafe.

These extensive gardens have something for everyone. There is a lake with boats for hire. 2 lovely food outlets - a ride on train & children’s park. A full skateboard park. There is a pitch & putt, a tennis centre, a trampoline park, a swimming pool & gym etc. Only 10 minutes walk from us.

The Gannel river is a tidal estuary, very scenic and a lovely walk - if you get hot just get in for a swim.

Just a beautiful place to roam - lots of different areas to explore and an amazing cafe for lunch using a lot of their own produce. There is also a shop and a separate farm shop. It’s worth the 45 minutes drive which is scenic in itself.

City/town information

Truro is the only city in Cornwall. A 30- 40 minutes drive away with lots of parking. It is quaint with a beautiful cathedral and windy back streets. Loads of lovely places to eat & stop for refreshments. Not a massive shopping centre in sight.
