Season: Open All Year The use of this park is free of charge. It closes at Sunset and opens at Sunrise. DAY USE ONLY NO camping, NO weapons, and NO alcoholic drinks allowed in this park. Please stay off the road across the top of the Dam. It is not a hiking trail. It is a service road for maintenance. Overlook Park is on a hilltop at the south end of Canyon Dam and is the location of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters at Canyon Lake. The park offers a scenic view to Canyon Lake and Dam. There is access to the Verada Real walking trail across Canyon Dam. A restroom at the top of the hill and visitor parking is available. There are no camping or picnic facilities but you are welcome to hike and picnic. The office for visitor information is open Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm, excluding Federal Holidays.

DAY USE FEE GUIDE: Ages 0-15 - NOT counted to calculate the usage fee for Vehicles or Walk ups. Ages 16 and up -DO get counted to calculate the usage fee for Vehicles orWalk ups. Cost per vehicle is for everyone 16 years old and older in the Vehicle. Only those 16 and older will count toward the 8 people in the Vehicle. DIRECTIONS: Canyon Beach Park is located on the North shore of Canyon Lake near Hancock. From IH 35: Take Exit 191 north of New Braunfels, Texas. FM 306 is exit 191. Drive West on FM 306 for about 20 Miles. You will turn left at the flashing yellow signal light on to Canyon Park Road. From US Hwy 281: Turn East on FM 306. Travel east 12 miles. You will turn right at the flashing yellow signal light on to Canyon Park Road. Canyon Beach Park gate house is on the left as you cross the causeway portion of the road. The first gate house is where you check in and pay for acces to the beach.
