One of the best excursions around is to pack a picnic and rent a kayak from any of the kayak rental places (just google tybee kayak rentals) and to go for a paddle over to Little Tybee. It's the uninhabited sister island to Tybee and has entire driftwood trees, long stretches of beach with little to no one there, a storm strewn boat from Hurricane Matthew in 2016, wildlife and more.
