Locals fave! There is no view, this is a bit of a hole in the wall, but there are great deals to be had and the food is awesome. Menu is surprisingly comprehensive with a lot of interesting choices, and burgers are amazing.

Brickers is such a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Its a cidery where you can do tasting flights (try the Frambo!) and there is a food 'hut" outside with great mac and cheese and more. Family and dog friendly in the picnic area outside, and you're welcome to bring your own snacks too. Beautiful farm atmosphere.

This hike is about 35 minutes away but well worth the drive. A bit of a workout, but you are rewarded with spectacular views. Pro tip: grab a bite at the Grasshopper Pub or the Mexican restaurant nearby afterward.

Most travellers love to check out the Narrows! Info from their web site: This park was established in 1957. Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park provides trails and viewing areas for visitors who wish to experience the awesome power of incredibly turbulent tidal rapids. On a 3 metre tide, 200 billion gallons of water flow through the narrows connecting Sechelt and Jervis Inlet. The difference in water levels between one side of the rapids and the other sometimes exceeds 2 metres in height. Current speeds can exceed 30km/hr. The rapids are famous for their spectacular whirlpools and whitewater. There are opportunities to view tidal rapids, waterfowl and abundant marine life at various tidal levels. Brown Lake provides further waterfowl viewing opportunities.

Want to spend the day at a beautiful big sandy beach? To get there, you take a water taxi from Secret Cove Marina to North Thormanby Island. Walk miles along the pristine shoreline, swim the tranquil warm waters, or savour a delicious picnic lunch while observing the array of birds and botany. When the tide is low it is possible to walk to South Thormanby, while exploring tidal pools and a variety of colourful marine life. Whenever friends visit this beach for the day they seem to come back with the BEST TANS. :)
