It is a lovely sanctuary, between Godshill and Shanklin, where they rescue donkeys. Admission is free and the Sanctuary is open 7 days a week from 10am – 4.30pm all year round. Although admission is free, the sanctuary do rely on donations. There are a number ways that people can contribute to the running costs of the sanctuary. There is a gift shop and café and a bric a brac shop.

A wonderful day out for all with stunning views of the West Wight, The needles and lighthouse, the coloured sands and not forgetting the chairlift. A family attraction with lots to do and keep the littles one busy. Whilst there you can take the open top bus, The Breezer, up to The Old Battery and tea rooms for more stunning views!

Our favourite place to eat out! The Blacksmiths offer a wonderful menu. With stunning views and a lovely garden and play area for children. We would recommend their pork belly or their roast if it is on the menu when you visit. Booking is advisable as they do get busy!

A Must!!! The Isle of Wight Pearl has a lovely collection of pearl jewellery and bespoke pieces. With spectacular cliff-top views over looking the English Channel and back up towards Freshwater Bay and Tennysons Monument, and a café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a wonderful piece of homemade cake whilst taking in the views. Their breakfasts are amazing!
