Food scene

Get there early to take advantage of some great food and bargains. Parking can get hectic so if you're not planning on buying lots of trinkets, then walking there is probably the best way to get there. It will only take you 10 minutes!

Sightseeing

Even if you're not the fittest person, you can climb Mount Coolum in around 30 minutes or so. If you're really fit you could run up and down in around 20 minutes (there are people that do this daily!) What an amazing view of the Sunshine Coast once you're at the top! When the whales are migrating, it's a great spot to watch them frolicking.

This natural beauty is situated about a 30 minute drive from the house. It's an easy walk around the top but if you want to go for a longer walk, you can take the track down to the bottom and hike back up. Once at the top you can have a swim in the natural pool to cool off.

This is a beautiful spot along the river with plenty of shady green space, picnic tables, a massive play area for the kids, toilet facilities and cafe's close by. On Sunday's you can visit the Cotton Tree Markets which are located right in the heart of Cotton Tree.

Don't be alarmed by the name, the walk out to this lookout is spectacular. The track hugs the beautiful coastline all the way to a peninsula that has the most amazing views. You can sometime see turtle's and whales (during whale migration). The track is mostly level but make sure you take some water! There are so many great places along the way to stop and take some beautiful photos.
