Sightseeing

This has probably one of the most beautiful views of Seattle, especially when you come at night. It does get a little chilly though so dress warm, grab some coffee or food to-go, and head to the park for some gorgeous views.

Check out Amazon's indoor glass sphere garden when you're walking about exploring down town. You can't miss it, they are three huge balls in the middle of town ;) If you're looking for souvenirs, there is a gift shop inside.

This park is built at an old gas works facility. The structure is still there and overall a cool spot for views, picnicking and just viewing the city from Fremont side.

City/town information

If you have time to spare, we really recommend taking a day trip to Leavenworth. It's about 2.5 hours drive away from Seattle - this Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains with Alpine-style buildings with restaurants serving German beer and food.

If you are a lover of sushi, you cannot miss this place. Their chirashi bowls are the best of the West Coast (in Dani's humble opinion)! Definitely great bang for your buck, high quality fresh fish, and will definitely be a highlight of your trip!

If you love shabu shabu or hot pot, make sure to try out this place! If you've never tried it, and is curious about it - hot pot is a cook it yourself style of eating where meat and vegetables are ordered raw, and you cook it in the soup yourself!

We honestly feel it's a littleeeee bit over-rated but it's a pretty damn cool restaurant to visit as a first-timer. The interior is really funky and eclectic and the food is good. Swing by for a late lunch after walking through Pikes Place Market!

Nestled in the basement of an old brick hotel, now the Humphrey Apartments, an intimate cocktail bar was quietly built in 2009. Bathtub Gin & Co. is in a former boiler room in the back of the building in between First and Second Avenue in Belltown. Bathtub Gin & Co. is a warm Prohibition style cocktail bar perfect for those rainy Seattle nights.
