Weekly-changing lunch menus. Lovingly cooked, affordably priced in the stylish, hip "Factory" co-working space (accessible to the public).

While it only opens around 6/7 PM, this is a brilliant spot for great dinner and cocktails. If you are into electronic music, you will also love the staff's great playlists.

Probably the best coffee shop you will find in Mitte. It is a little bit of a walk away. But once you taste the pancakes, fresh sandwiches, or delicious Chai Tea you will understand why it was worth the pilgrimage.

As you can probably tell by the name: this is one of the best spots in all of Berlin to get burgers. Make sure to get a side of sweet potato fries and their signature sauce.

It's hard to know where to start with L'ÉPICERIE. From unique, fairly-priced imported French wines, to delicious nibbles (think cheese, cold-cuts, hand-made chips and more): If you like everything that makes life enjoyable, you should stop by this shop. It helps that the guys running this place are incredibly helpful and just live and breathe good-food culture. Secret tip: try the smoked Mozzarella.

Parks & Nature

This park is THE meeting place on Sunday. Everyone from Prenzlauerberg to Mitte meets for live music, the flea market, amazing street food or just a casual beer on the hillside. Highly recommended.

This park is especially popular in the summer. It has a small bar/restaurant on the hillside, with various coffee- and ice-cream shops in its vicinity. Perfect to lay down to get a tan... when the sun actually shines.

Sightseeing

Other than being a gorgeous stretch of land to walk on, you can also take the time to read the informational posters along this park. During the Cold War (before the fall of the Soviet Union) dramatic scenes played out on these few kilometers along the wall, separating East & West. They are tastefully documented all along this park. A truly intriguing, historical experience.

Essentials

A leisurely 10-minute walk away you will find REWE, probably the best grocery store in the neighborhood. Other than offering everything, from fresh foods to anything a convenience store might offer, they also boast a salad bar, a Starbucks and wine store.
