Bamboo is a local luxury sushi place. Their green machine roll is a vegan sushi roll that is actually amazing. If you want nice sushi look no further. The wagyu burger is also good.

If you're just looking for a place you can walk to and relax this is the closest park to us. We walk here with the dogs a few times per week. It has big trees, and isn't usually busy.

This is a place worth visiting if you have time and have never been. The historic lodge is very cool to walk around, and there is usually year round skiing. This is another popular street with lots of great restaurants, just a little closer to the river. Tea Chai Te has our favorite tea and bubble tea. Ecliptic is a good local brewery.

Some locals call it Snob Hill, this is one of the popular downtown streets with lots of boutiques and restaurants. It is along the streetcar route. Honestly the main draws back in the day were Salt and Straw and Bamboo sushi, but both of those places have locations here on Alberta. If you're looking for a place to visit downtown, I would go to Powells Books instead.
