Fun day trip, takes a little over an hour out there, you’re likely to see a moose on the drive. The natural rock lake is a favorite and the restaurant serves fresh veggies all year powered by geo-thermal energy. You can tour the thermal plant and the greenhouse too.

Food scene

For a romantic night out, it doesn't get much better than this. The service is slow and relaxing, and the food is delicious. They have the most impressive wine-selection in town and with each entry comes a wine recommendation. My favorite entry is the lamb chops.

Traveler advice

What to pack

Bring clothing layers

It's often cool outdoors, but indoors can be very warm. Layering helps adjust to the different temperatures.
