A few blocks west is Tower Avenue. Several bars and food places are over there including 7 West Taphouse, The Anchor (If you’re looking for a dive bar), and VIP Pizza. Those would be the places I would go, but feel free to check out the others and let me know what you think!

See the lift bridge, visit local shops and restaurants. Lots of tourists and not a lot of parking spots in summer months. Winter is less busy.

Lots of trails, farther off the beaten path then Gooseberry Falls or Splitrock Lighthouse. Less crowded. Be sure if you’re going up the North Shore of Lake Superior to leave early to avoid crowds.

Driving to the edge of Superior you will find the beach on Wisconsin Point and the lighthouse. This area is perfect for summertime campfires. If you’re feeling adventurous you can even walk on the rocks out to the lighthouse.
