Traveler advice
Don't miss
Cades Cove Loop is a must
Paved 13 Mile loop, no cars allowed onWednesdays' during the summer. There is a high chance of seeing wildlife, especially if you arrive in the early morning!
Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours in the loop.
We either always hike or drive this loop at least once while we are in the Smokies, and we've seen multiple bears,
deer and wild turkeys out there!
Don't miss
Clingsman Dome
Beautiful views of the smokies, either from the parking lot or from the actual viewpoint (small hike but pretty steep). We loved seeing the sunrise from there and seems like it is a good point for sunset as well
Road to Clingsman Dome is closed during winter (check on national park website for accurate dates)
