Sightseeing

Aim for the award winning sandy South Beach around the Claremont Pier then either head South along the Prom towards Pakefield or North into town and the main shopping. Summertime is typically packed but it’s just as pretty for a cold Winters walk to a pub like the Jolly Sailors or one of the beach cafes.

A local secret and one of the best beaches around. With a long promenade and cafes at each end it’s a walkers dream and a huge expanse of golden sand. Recently made famous as the main venue in the Danny Boyle movie “Yesterday”.

Like Chelsea-on-sea this quaint seaside town is a step back in time and hugely popular as a holiday home destination. Well worth a visit for the food and pubs followed by a stroll along the beach. Also home to the superb Adnams Brewery which has tours and an excellent shop and deli.
