Outdoor activities

Newly created 'beach' area and natural swimming pool in the Baltic sea. Crowded during summer time, and use all year long with the sauna on top of water, for the perfect scandinavian experience.

THE trendy place, good food, good concept, always crowded. If you are a group (3 or 4), better to book a room in advance. There are other good restaurants in the area which is the old meatpacking district turning into a trendy area.

Tiny restaurant by the canals with unique view and atmosphere, well hidden. Organic and local food. Also a sauna for use, the Danes usually go there before a jump in the fresh water. Highly recommended for a unique experience, outside of any touristic places.

Traveler advice

Traveling with kids

Travelling with kids and babies

Copenhagen is probably the easiest capital city to travel with kids and babies, everything is made for it: easy access to public transportation with elevators in every metro/train station, etc. The Danes usually let their babies sleep outside, including in the winter so don't be surprise to see strolleys with sleeping babies parked outside of cafes with parents inside ;)
What to pack

What clothes to bring

The weather can be very versatile in Denmark and it's not rare to experience sun and rain in the same day. I would advise to bring some water repellent and wind-proof clothes (or at least an umbrella). The wind is also often strong here.
