The Purple Onion features a variety of ethnically inspired dishes with an emphasis on the Mediterranean’s simple and healthful cuisine. "The Barbeque" is back! If you're a local or a regular, you know that Green River Barbeque (affectionately known as "The Barbeque" in these parts) has been closed for nearly a year. However, it's back and better than ever! Green River BBQ serves their own in-house smoked meats with a large variety of seasonal vegetables and sides. Children will find a menu that offers options to their liking and portion size. Green River also has gluten-free and vegetarian options available. Local drafts and ciders from western North Carolina breweries along with a full bar and a large outdoor seating area complete the awesome offerings at The Barbeque.
