If I was Shelly Long and Kai was Ted Danson, this would be our Cheers. Never disappoints and we always seem to end up chatting with people around us and making friends. Excellent food and one of the better the beer menus in the city (that's saying a lot!). It gets crowded on weekend nights so get a seat where you can - up at the bar is the best but they have a great patio too.

If you look toward the west in the evening, you'll see a giant swath of acres and acres of forest land with no lights. All of that is Forest Park. There is nothing else like it. There are many trail heads and options for all levels of hiking. I recommend Hoyt Arboretum as a starting point.

This is a truly amazing place in any season. The fire-colored Maples turn my head in Autumn but springtime Magnolias have my heart forever.
