My very favorite little restaurant in Cape Town. It's one of the oldest restaurants in Cape Town, and where the locals go to eat. Delicious Greek food, with a modern twist. Unpretentious, casual and set in a quaint square in an historic and arty area. It's just 5 away minutes by car. Lunch under the trees in the dappled sunlight. And dinner under the fairy lights.

Our local supermarket just around the corner. Open 7 days a week from 6.30am to 9pm. Well stocked, clean, friendly.... and the BEST chocolate croissants in the world. It also has a bottle store attached to it. Different hours.

Take the cable car, or walk one of the many routes to the top. Spectacular!! This should be number 1 on your list. Your experience will hugely influenced by the weather. So dont plan it for a specific day. If the weather is good, cancel all other plans. Even on a sunny day it can be cold up there. Take a jacket in summer, and lots, lots more in winter. And take sunblock!!!

The City Centre comes alive on the first Thursday evening of every month, when all the art galleries are open until 9pm open. Thousands of people gather in the streets making it a wonderful occasion to see the city at night. Look for a map on line, or at one of the galleries to shop you where they all are. Or take an uber taxi to Church st which is where most of the people congregate.

A most beautiful and quaint little village, half an hour away by car. The sea is a few degrees warmer on that side, and the many tidal pools are very popular. Markets and shops and the harbour for lunch.

There is the penguin sanctuary where you can view the colony. Or swim in a nearby beach away from the tourists and you might get lucky and have a few swimming with you.
