Drinks & Nightlife

Piano bar. It's a bit old school but it's such a fun night out. It can be a bit trashy but that's part of the fun. It closes at 12pm.

Really iconic on the Goldie - the cafe that changed things for us! The coffee has always been pretty good, but this place is leafy and spacious, yet always bustling. It is pretty expensive though and is actually in an up-and-coming but industrial area - interesting!!

Parks & Nature

I (Katie) actually run hiking groups in Springbrook so let me know how far you want to walk and what you want to see and I'll make some recommendations :) We're lucky enough to have a few national parks 40mins to an hour away so we try take advantage of it!

Everything Else

Woolworths is unfortunately more expensive than its competitors (Aldi being the cheapest, and Coles having more range) but it is the closest!

Entertainment & Activities

The Gold Coast City Council has the biggest range of activities you could possibly be interested in trying! Yoga, tai chi, swing dance and zumba lessons, yummy mummy challenges, and heaps more (genuinely). Take a look at this website for some ideas of what you can participate in for free or a low cost to make your stay more memorable: http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/community/active-healthy-program-27969.html

Getting Around

Public Transport on the GC is quite expensive and... well, not amazing. But you can buy a Go Explore card which was brought out just for short term visitors - it's the only card with a daily cap so you can go everywhere (on the Gold Coast, at least) for $10.
