Nature

If you enjoy exploring the outdoors
An 11 km drive from our door takes you to the top of Mount Seymour where you will experience panoramic views of Vancouver. Here, you have several hikes to lakes and peaks in the summer, or skiing and snowshoeing in a winter wonderland. For hiking, Dog mountain is not very difficult and you are rewarded with a nice view of the City. Mystery Lake has a bit more vertical but also not too difficult. First, Second and Third Peak are more challenging, but beautiful views if you are up for it.

As long as you don’t mind heights, the view of the canyon from the suspension bridge is great, and it’s free. Don’t bother paying to go to the Capilano bridge! Spend some time on the forest trails and enjoy. You can be there in 20 mins.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Public transit is easy and inexpensive, and you don't need the stress of navigating your way around.

A couple of minutes walk from our place, you can hop on the 215 bus that will take you to Phibb's Exchange. From there, you have several connecting buses that fan out to other destinations in North Vancouver or to Vancouver or Burnaby. If you go to the Lower Lonsdale area, you can hop on a 15 minute Seabus ride that will take you across Burrard Inlet to downtown Vancouver. If you are traveling to/from the airport, the Canada Line runs between YVR airport and downtown Vancouver.
