If you don't have a TJ's in your town it's fun to go check out. I'm not a big fan of their meat and produce. But their dry goods and cheese are great.

One of Seattle's best places. I suggest going before 1030. Otherwise it is insane. Make sure you go to the lower level shops and check out the gum wall. (bring some gum to leave behind)

This is a nice ferry ride to one of Seattle's many island communities. Easy to walk on the ferry and walk to the town of Winslow to have lunch. Or drive on and explore the island.

If you are in town on a Sunday this is a wonderful farmer's market with lots of local flare. Great shops and restaurants also.

Sightseeing

I took my dad on this for his 70th Birthday this year. This was a treat for both of us! A very cool perspective of Seattle's land and water. Bring earplugs and only do it when the weather is decent.

One of the most visited places in Seattle. This ship canal was built in 1917 to connect the Puget Sound with Lake Union. Watch the boats and salmon going up the fish ladder (if it's the right season)
