The South Downs Way runs through West Sussex, passing the edge of Brighton and finishing in Eastbourne in East Sussex. You can be in the park in minutes via car, bus or train and access many walking trails. A firm favourite of ours starts in Stanmer Park (catch the train to Falmer) and ends in Lewes where you can find plenty of pubs to quench your thirst and then catch the train back.

The sculptural remains of the West Pier cast an eerie beauty over the seafront. Definitely worth a visit and is one of the most photographed places in Brighton & Hove. If you’re here at the right time of year you can watch the murmurations with an amazing sunset backdrop.

One of our favourites and only a 10/15 minutes walk. This restaurant/bar has a perfect neighbourhood feel to it. Both the food and cocktails are incredible. The kitchen also serves a take on the restaurant food at the Hare & Hounds pub a little further along at Preston Circus.
