Highly Recommend- The Banks is the name given to the current mixed-use project being developed on the land between Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ball Park along the Ohio River in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's a nice place to take a stroll, bike or scooter through for terrific views of the Ohio River. If you have kids they will love the multiple play areas and splash water features (take a towel and maybe a change of clothes - these areas get plenty of use on warm days.) Except for the Ferris Wheel and Carousel, it's completely free of charge. There are also multiple eating locations in this area..

Neighborhoods

Why is it called OTR? Many walked to work across bridges over the Miami and Erie Canal, which separated the area from downtown Cincinnati. The canal was nicknamed "the Rhine" in reference to the river Rhine in Germany, and the newly settled area north of the canal as "Over the Rhine". In German, the district was called über den Rhein.

Visit Fountain Square to get a good vibe of the city. Graeter's Ice Cream is a Cincinnati favorite.

Eating & Restaurants

There are plenty of restaurants in the area- too many to list here. I have tried to provide a good sampling of those restaurants within easy walking distance. Feel free to message me for specific recommendations or if you're looking for a particular food experience. I will point out that the new Kroger Over the Rhine downtown restaurant & eatery is located just a few blocks away at 100 East Court Street. It is fantastic. And they begin delivery service in November 2019! Here's a link: https://www.kroger.com/stores/details/014/00513
