Traveler advice

Ways to save

Eating out

Our two main streets which run parallel to each-other are republic street and merchant street. I would advise NOT to look for restaurants in these streets. All roads leading across usually have much better offerings :)
Useful phrases

Know your Maltese

In Malta most people speak English, although Maltese is our official language it tends to be forgotten. If you want to impress here are a few local words : Grazzi / Thank you, Iva /Yes, Le/No, Bongu / Hello
Traveling with kids

Strollers in the city

Maltese pavements were definitely not built for accessibility, having two little children myself I find myself walking in the street with our strollers.

Museums

Always check the museum you are planning to visit beforehand , many museums are free on sundays but require tickets during the week. Also don’t forget to show your student pass / 60+ pass for cheaper rates
