Drinks & Nightlife

Great place for visitors to chat with locals, super friendly staff, new beers every month, and a surprisingly nice menu. Fresh popcorn while you wait, and beer patio in the back. Sunday-only brunch is great. Probably our favorite hangout, and it is in easy walking distance.

Our very own brewery in North BeHi that also has some tasty vittles! Blue cheese truffle burger, fried brussels sprouts with aoili, mac and cheese, and even roasted bone marrow--basically elevated pub food. Very willing to give you samples of any beers you might like to try. Inside seating has been limited when we've gone, but they also have outside seating and firepits.

Entertainment & Activities

Driving range, par 3 course, and a regular 18 hole course. Run by the city of Seattle, it's relatively cheap. John is glad to lend you his golf clubs for the range or the course (we only have one set, I'm afraid). I shot a 92 one time, many years ago. The clubhouse was rebuilt a year or two ago, and probably is a decent lunch spot.

Parks & Nature

Some smart Seattlites decided to cover over a few local reservoirs and make them into parks. Jefferson Park is one of them. Walk around, jog around, ride the zipline, get a view of downtown, watch the skateboarders, play some tennis (we're glad to lend you our rackets and give you a can of balls). JP is fast becoming a center of South Seattle life.

The iconic Seattle natural food grocery store -- there are about 8 or 10 of these now, and this one is the latest and greatest version. Great deli, salad and hot food bar -- eat there or bring it back home.

If the timing is right for your visit, check out First Thursday in Pioneer Square held--you guessed it--the first Thursday of every month. The galleries stay open late and some have show opening receptions. A lovely way to enjoy some of the history and creativity of the city.

Our newest restaurant serving up incredible modern Filipino food. Seriously, one of the best meals I've had in Seattle this year. They do not take reservations, so go early or late and enjoy a cocktail while you wait for a table.
