Food Scene

This place is off the beaten path but is worth it. The menu showcases southern cuisine in a modern way. The menu often changes but we’ve never had a bad dish here. On Monday nights they offer a fried chicken that sells out within minutes. Reservations are not required but on the weekend they are a good idea.

This small restaurant offers the best Italian food with a southern twist in the city. We always get the chef’s tasting but the fried chicken parm or the white lasagna is so good it will make you slap your momma. Reservations are required but you can always saddle up at the bar if you are lucky enough to get a spot.

Best place for brunch in the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful European style cafe. If you go before 10:30 am they have amazing coffee and pastries and it’s a great place to read and relax. Once brunch is served it fills up quick and the menu changes. Katie highly recommends the burger. In her opinion, it’s the best in the city.

The Food Hall at Ponce City Market has many great restaurants and food stands, from fancy cocktails and steaks at the Mercury to Chicken Biscuits at Hop’s to Ramen at Ton Ton’s to Mexican at Minero, and even a “Beef Jerky and Booze” bar. Don’t eat at just one. The roof has an amusement park and restaurant, but you have to make reservations (and pay a fee -- worth it at least once).

The menu is equally as delicious as it is outrageous. Also it’s probably one of the best places to get cocktails in Atlanta.

Right across the street. Big, loud, and always good. Sit on the patio or play Bocce ball outside on the BeltLine. Serves wine from casks and careful with the alcoholic infusions: they’re a little too good.
