Get your day drinkin' started off right with a Bloody Mary or Mimosa! Good mix of tourists & locals. Almost everything is delish (be sure to get something other than just regular diner fare so that you can appreciate the love they put into the food); in groups we'll all order something & taste eachother's food so we know what we want next time (bc there's always a next time)!

The coffee is hit or miss, but the funky, relaxed atmosphere is usually perfectly on point to enjoy a newspaper, do work, check emails, strike up a casual esoteric conversation, play vintage boardgames, read tarot cards in the back room, etc... all of which might be happening at once, if you're lucky!

famously unpretentious despite being famous for its famous food, occasionally famous people, & a famously memorable time (especially if the night is perfect & you + your date manage to book a seat on the back of their truck in front!)

Snake's is an intimate/infamous divebar/magical portal that's been rumoured to have been Mick Jagger's favourite secret spot long before it was MicheLLe's! Mostly sized, yet potent potions. Be sure let your hair down, pet their dog, & strike up a lively conversation with the bartender & strangers... but also be cautious bc it's one of those places that almost always has a story- for better or worse (usually a very New Orleans mix of both!).
