There is a reason this place is busy. People love the coffee here, but we aware, it's flavored coffee. For the really good stuff head to Lux a bit further South.

An iconic place. It's always busy and full of locals of all ages. It's the place to be. They also roast their own coffee which is spectacular and the food selection which is limited (a good thing) is excellent. Very much worth the visit and near by.

Pane Bianco is part of the now famed Bianco empire - a worthy empire - built with quality. This location has sandwiches and salads. Both are great and don't miss the Italian ice. I love that stuff, especially the nutmeg flavor.

A locals place. I sit at the bar, sip my local beer or a glass of wine, while talking to the neighbors and having great meal. All the food is superb and at a good price. Get there between 12 noon and 5pm and you'll enjoy a great deal on wine and beer for the kinds of prices they should: a pitcher for the price of a pint.

An Asian style restaurant. Completely local. They make some of the best drinks in the city. It's a small place: great design, intimate, modern and welcoming. The menu changes, but a good ramen is always there.

When I can't really decide where to go I have no problem defaulting to Hillstone. The menu is small and consistent, so is the service and food: consistently excellent. You can't go wrong here with the best ribs, a superb burger, a perfect salad, and excellent sushi all surrounded by beautiful furniture in a new, but mid-century style building. I love this place.

You can't go wrong here with the best ribs, a superb burger, a perfect salad, and excellent sushi all surrounded by beautiful furniture in a new, but mid-century style building. I love this place.
Lovely locally owned place, just down the street with very good French Louisiana style food: from croissants to gumbo. Everything is excellent quality. Parking is a challenge here on the weekend so it's better to walk and rack up those steps on your tracker.
