Food Scene

Grab a beer and eat a delicious lunch or dinner! Also serves up some great breakfast. Wait time is a little long (fast food vibe, but sit-down restaurant wait), but the food is worth it. I recommend getting the Grilled Chicken sandwich and any of their milkshakes! Live music on Friday nights.

The guy who started this incredible ice cream shop (original shop is further downtown), was a former incarcerated man who turned his life around and pursued his passion in ice cream. A quote from the owner, Mikey Cole: “A few years ago my mother got sick. I promised her I wouldn’t be locked up anymore and doing the wrong things,” Cole explains. “Ice cream was just something that came into my life at a time when I didn’t really know what I was doing."

They have a good happy hour on weekdays, and great food. Can be pricey, but it's a good Harlem/NYC vibe.

This is the largest grocery store right next to us. But, see my other recommendations if you want a smaller store to go into. This store can be overwhelming and busy.
