Seafood is our thing in Nova Scotia and finding a place that serves it as well as Bar Kismet is a find. I highly recommend any of their unique seafood dishes paired with an eclectic wine list. It is open until midnight so a stop to try a small plate with a cocktail is also an option.

Drinks & Nightlife

Awesome, woman owned establishment (yes that makes it different). Vegetarian friendly with lots of meat options with an interesting drink menu.

Great place to catch some local musical talent. The Marquee is attached and you can dine at The Local before the show or next door at award winning EDNA's.

The North End of Halifax was destroyed in an explosion 100 years ago. The Fort Needham memorial marks the tragedy and the view point shows the exact location where the ships met that fateful day.

Parks & Nature

Point Pleasant Park is located in the South End. Transportation is suggested from my location unless you are up for a longer walk. Walking trails take you along ocean front, natural setting, off leash dog areas, and historic sites.

Arts & Culture

You can see the hill from the apartment it is that close! A real fortification that tells some of the history of the war and offers artifacts to view. You can explore the fort and hear the noon day gun. Oh, and sometimes you can see Sidney Crosby running the hill for his workout!
